Medical Construction — Ronald McDonald Family Room
Location: MUSC Children's Hospital Room 735
The Ronald McDonald Family Room is located in room 735 of the Children's Hospital at the Medical University of South Carolina. The room provides a private place for families of seriously ill children to relax without leaving the hospital during their child's most critical care. Family members are able to use this room to rest, read and shower while still being only moments away from their child. The room comes equipped with a kitchenette, a bedroom and shower that both meet ADA standards and a built-in desk with computer hook-up and internet access so the family can research their child's illness without leaving the facility.
Chastain takes great pride in that over 70 percent of the cost was donated by them and their subcontractors for this project. Due to the generosity of time, labor and materials, we were able to create a warm, beautiful sanctuary within the hospital for families to use as a retreat.
