Commercial Renovation — Maine Cottage Furniture

Location: 525 King Street, Charleston
Originally constructed in 1938, the building is situated in the heart of the revitalized area of upper King Street. The first floor contains Maine Cottage Furniture, a high end furniture store, and the second floor is made up of an architect's suite, as well as a continuation of Maine Cottage.
This project included complete interior and exterior renovations comprising approximately 10,000 sq. feet of vacant space. A complete new storefront system was installed to include a stair well to the second floor, and the existing mezzaine was salvaged and downsized to make way for the courtyard entrance. We were also able to preserve the existing millwork and windows. The original awning was salvaged, refurbished and reused.
