Chastain Construction is proud to present the Delta Pharmacy project, a ground-up development located at the corner of East Bay and Calhoun Streets in Charleston, South Carolina. This two-story mixed-use building includes a 1,955 square foot pharmacy on the first floor and a 1,978 square foot residential space on the second, offering a unique blend of commercial and residential use in a vibrant, historic district.
The site, which was previously an undeveloped gravel lot, spans 0.15 acres (6,501 square feet) and is situated within a VE-15 flood zone. In addition to the primary building structure, the project includes supporting infrastructure, such as parking spaces, sidewalks, drive aisles, and comprehensive utility and drainage systems designed to meet the needs of both the commercial and residential spaces.
The Delta Pharmacy project was recognized with the Preservation Society of Charleston Carolopolis New Construction Award, which acknowledges exceptional exterior and interior rehabilitations, restorations, and compatible new construction that helps preserve Charleston's historical resources. Chastain Construction is honored to have worked alongside The Middleton Group to bring this award-winning project to life, enhancing the streetscape and community while maintaining the architectural integrity that defines the Charleston area.
